(1): Maria MUKHORTOVA / Pavel LEBEDEV (RUS),
Mukhortova/Trankov teamed up in 2003 . Trankov moved from Perm to St. Petersburg at age 15 in order to find a
new partner. Mukhortova started skating in Lipetsk but moved back to St. Petersburg to start pair skating. The
couple switched coaches after the 2005/06 season, going from Nikolai Velikov first to Tamara Moskvina ,  in
August 2006 to Artur Dmitriev and eventually to Oleg Vasiliev in December 2006 . Vasiliev is the 1984 Olympic Pair
skating champion (with Elena Valova). The couple missed the 2007 European Championshis after Mukhortova
suffered a severe foot injury in January.
